The regulation of a suitable engine operating temperature is controlled by the cooling water thermostat. If the engine becomes too hot, the thermostat directs cooling water to the radiator. If the temperature is too low, it closes the water circuit again. So if the engine does not warm up properly in cold weather and on long highway journeys, the thermostat may remain open. In other words, it is defective. Only a replacement will help.
This article is an inexpensive alternative to the expensive original spare part.
The thermostat corresponds to the original in form, function and connection.
