The exhaust slide valve of throttled Rotax 122 & 123 engines is opened abruptly at 8,000 rpm by the electrical control of the slide valve. Not everyone can cope with this sudden power delivery and not everyone wants to be driving at such a high engine speed all the time. The tuning sliders from Italkit help here. The sliders are actuated by the exhaust gas pressure, i.e. the higher the engine speed and the more exhaust gas, the higher the lift of the slider. The preload of the spring can be adjusted by a turning wheel. So the stroke of the slider can be adjusted according to your own taste.
